Midwest Air Taxi is based out of Waterloo, IA and operates under Livingston Aviation's charter certificate.
Our goal is to provide safe, reliable, time-savings transportation to your destination. 
David LeCompte, our founder, was sick of the following:

• 4.5 hour car drives to his Kansas City offices
• 7 hour door-to-door commercial flights to a customer in Indianapolis
• waking up at 3 AM to catch a 6 AM flight out of a regional airport
• long layover’s in hub airports
•  missing dinner and time with his family

So in 2004 a fractional ownership company was started.  While attracting several customers, the majority of the market wasn’t ready to purchase or commit to 100 or more hours of flying each year.  After a pause to focus on his other business (Short’s Travel Management) he engaged the help of Ben Frein to restart the concept as an Air Taxi company.

Today, Midwest Air Taxi utilizes the state-of-the-art Cirrus SR-22 aircraft through Livingston Aviation. This advanced aircraft has an outstanding safety record and takes passenger comfort to a whole new level. Why charter on a 60+ year old plane when you could travel in the comfort of leather interior, and air conditioning.
